I want to convince the people with whom I live to convert their lawn to gardens or, at least, drought tolerant landscaping.

So my first step is to research some drought tolerant edibles and native plants. Luckily, right down the street is a great botanic garden, Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, that specializes in native plants. They have a plant sale, every so often. They have a “Grow Native Nursury” that’s open, Wednesday through Sunday, 9am to 4pm, and has all of these plants. Wow!
